During the Salesforce Dreamforce conference that was held on Sept. 16, Satya Nadella, the CEO of Microsoft showcased an iPhone that was fully loaded with Microsoft apps. He referred to it as the iPhone Pro as it featured Microsoft’s iOS apps.

During Apple’s unveil event for the new iPhone 6S models and the iPad Pro on Sept. 9, Microsoft showed how its productivity apps would run on the 12.9-inch iPad Pro. Even Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple praised by mentioning that there is no one better than the Redmond giant when it comes to productivity apps, NDTV Gadgets reported.

Business Insider reported that once both companies rivaled each other, but now both the companies have buried the hatchet. At the recent Salesforce Dreamforce meet, Nadella had borrowed an iPhone to demonstrate various iOS versions of apps like Skype, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. He jokingly dubbed the iPhone with Microsoft apps as iPhone Pro.

Some of other apps that were seen on the iPhone Pro was Sway, an app for making presentations online; PowerBI, an app that allows users to ask queries about their company and find answers by searching among the documents; Sunrise, the newly acquired calendar app. Some of the other apps include Delve, Office 365 Video, Office Lens, Dyanmix AX, Authenticator, Comp Portal, Managed, RMS sharing, My Apps, Groove, Snap Attack and Smartglass.

Nadella also expressed that Outlook is the best email client for Apple devices. He even added that it is better than the preloaded email app of iOS. According to Phone Arena, Nadella also said that Microsoft also aspires to write apps for iOS.

Microsoft is scheduled to launch the Lumia 950 and the Lumia 950 XL flagships running on the Windows 10 Mobile on Oct. 6. It is also expected to unleash the much hyped Surface Pro 4 tablet and the Microsoft Band 2 fitness tracker cum smartwatch.
