U.S. first lady Michelle Obama told on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Mar.16 that neither she nor her teenaged daughters are interested in politics. She added that she would continue her work of helping people and not enter politics as it requires “personality and passion,” according to E Online. Though the first lady agreed that its important work, she said, “I'm glad there are people willing to roll up their sleeves, but I leave it to those folks...I'll find other ways to keep giving back.”

She spoke about her daughters Malia, 16 and Sasha, 13. Michelle said that they are like any other teenagers. She discussed about Malia’s college and told that she has one more year to go at high school. The elder of the two siblings is now busy giving tests for various colleges and the mother-daughter duo are also visiting campuses. Speaking about the girls she told that she is proud of them as they have managed the limelight with grace and poise.

But one thing Michelle will not miss about her life in White House is not being able to open windows. She admitted that living in the palatial building does have its disadvantages in the form of tight security cover and the family’s only contact to the outside world is their balcony. The 51-year-old informed that it’s been seven long years that she has not been able to drive a car with the windows rolled down.

After Obama’s second term as the president of the U.S. is over, the family will move to their home from White House and live a regular life. She added that they are not able to do little things like other people do, so for one year after shifting to their home she would drive the car with the glasses of the window rolled down and take in the fresh air.

The first lady who was in the show to promote her “Let’s Move” campaign that is celebrating its fifth anniversary also spoke about her 22-years of marriage to Obama and the journey together. Michelle was seen shaking a leg along with Ellen on the show with the “Gimme Five” dance. As part of her campaign she and her helpers from “So You Think You Can Dance” will be performing to “Uptown Funk” on the front lawn of the White House during the annual Easter Egg Roll on Apr.6.
