First lady Michelle Obama on Mar 12 was at the studio to record for the upcoming episode of Ellen DeGeneres show that will be aired on Mar 16. She was dressed in white wide pants, black top and a cropped back jacket. Michelle was all ready to do her #GimmeFive dance challenge on the fifth anniversary of her Let’s Move campaign, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Her office tweeted on Mar 13 not to miss the video of Michelle shaking a leg with Ellen DeGeneres at “The Ellen Show” and her open challenge to learn the dance. The campaign of Barack Obama’s wife is to raise awareness about active, healthy living and combat obesity in the U.S. In the new episode, the first lady will be seen sashaying to the music of “Uptown Funk” by Bruno Mars along with show host Ellen.

Michelle said in a short video clip from the recorded show that was released on Mar 13, “We’re asking folks all across the country to give me five ways they are leading a healthy life.” She said that her party of helpers include pop star Beyonce, Nick Jonas as well as Ryan Seacrest and astronauts from the International Space Shuttle. Michelle also challenged DeGeneres to show her moves.

As part of her campaign she and her helpers from “So You Think You Can Dance” will be performing to “Uptown Funk” on the front lawn of the White House during the annual Easter Egg Roll on April 6. The Easter event is celebrated every year right from 1878 when president Rutherford B Hayes opened the White House gardens to local children. The celebration that had started with Easter egg hunts during that time has now got down to egg rolling and afternoon tea session for children.

The first lady who is usually seen in her slim fitting pants was dressed in a pair of white Phillip Lim wide-leg pants with a black top and cropped jacket and white tennis shoes. She performed the moves along with Ellen who was in her customary slim pants and comfortable trainers. Michelle has earlier been seen wearing white wide legged high wasted pants. Besides, during an official tour with her husband to Saudi Arabia she was also seen black wide pants.
