Miami Dolphins center Mike Pouncey said he doesn't see the need for a psychological testing as required by the NFL before he's allowed to play with the team, the Pro Bowler disclosed in an interview with ESPN on Tuesday.

Pouncey, who was one of the three players accused of bullying former teammate Jonathan Martin last season, believed he doesn't need to see medical attention and that he's against the NFL's requirement.

"I have no clue [about a date], but I don't think I need that," Pouncey said Tuesday after Miami's organized team activities via ESPN. "So I have no clue.

When asked a follow-up question on why he doesn't need to see a medical professional, Pouncey responded, "I just don't think I do."

The 24-year old Pouncey also said that he's clueless on whether he's adamant stance not to go psychological testing would lead to his suspension..

"I don't have any thought on it. That's not up to me right now. I'm just waiting to hear," said Pouncey, who cited along with former Dolphins Richie Incognito and John Jerry of harassing Martin.

Dolphins coach Joe Philbin also backed up Pouncey despite his bullying tendency, adding he considers his starting center as a valuable piece of the team.

"The one thing that's without question about Mike Pouncey which is important is he wants to be a great football player," Philbin said in the interview.

"He wants to make a valuable contribution to the Miami Dolphins, and he's not unlike any other player that we have in terms of there's an educational process every player goes through. But I love the effort and energy that he brings and that he's put forth into this offseason, and today's Day 1. It's a long, long process, but he's off to a good start."
