"The Mentalist" Season 6 will see the end of the show's Red John chapter soon. Creator Bruno Heller has announced back in May that the supervillain will be captured this year. Aussie actor Simon Baker followed it up by saying the crimson hunt will be over before the calendar year ends. In a disturbing sneak peek, Patrick Jane says goodbye to Teresa Lisbon (Robin Tunney) in a very rare emotional moment. Episode 6 is an explosive must-watch this Sunday.

Spoiler alert: This feature contains spoilers for those who have not caught up with Red John and Patrick Jane for a while. The Mentalist Season 6, Episode 6, "Fire and Brimstone," is likely to become one of the most unforgettable episodes of the show's six years.

Two out of five Red John suspects are dead. The viewers saw how one of them, Bob Kirkland (Kevin Corrigan) died. Naturally, some suspicion lingers that the other one may still be alive - Brett Partridge (Jack Plotnick).

In The Mentalist Season 6, Episode 5 ("The Red Tattoo"), Patrick Jane learns that Red John is tattoed with three red dots on his shoulder. If only there was a scene on Partridge's autopsy, then those betting he faked his death could be silenced.

Patrick Jane is about to find out -- Who is Red John?

In a sneak preview for Episode 6, "Fire and Brimstone," Jane is seen in a room with all the remaining Red John suspects. Jane is armed, and he's ready to die - with the real Red John. (Scroll down for the sneak preview below.)

The five remaining Red John suspects - all officially alive - are the following: CBI Director Gale Bertram (Michael Gaston), FBI Agent Reede Smith (Drew Powell), Napa County Sheriff Thomas McAllister (Xander Berkeley), Visualize leader Bret Stiles (Malcolm McDowell), and former CBI supervising detective Ray Haffner (Reed Diamond).

The Mentalist fans who remember Rosalind Harker (Alicia Witt) - the blind woman who's been with Red John a couple of times in previous seasons - know that some of the suspects above don't fit her description. Whether the writers will tie things up neatly remains to be seen. According to Rosalind, Red John is "just under 6 feet tall." He is "not muscular but not soft, either." She added, "He smelled of pine and nail and earth, and he liked to listen to me play the piano."

It was later revealed - although the information must be taken with a grain of salt - that Red John is afraid of heights. There are so many puzzle pieces to fit, but Bruno Heller tells fans Red John is really among Jane's seven suspects.
