Many pop start are shedding off their clothes for the music videos, but Meghan Trainor is not one of them. The 21-year-old American singer says she is “saving her booty” for her boyfriend, whom she is yet to meet. The attempt to cover her body is deliberate, says the singer in a new interview.

Trainor says that covering her body creates a certain “mystery” about her, which she likes as no one knows how her “booty looks like.” “I save that for my boy. Well, for whoever gets to date me one day,” the singer is quoted as saying by Daily Mail adding that she made her intentions to cover herself up to her label as soon as she started working with them on her first album.

“I told them you won’t see me in a bathing suit. I love when Beyonce and all those girls wear those body suits but I don’t like showing the vagina area,” said Trainor. The songstress confessed that she wore a “little body suit” in her hit song “All About That Bass” video but it made her feel quite uncomfortable. She also complained about being asked to pose in a certain way where she felt a lot of discomfort. But when she saw the results of her act, she said it was “worth it.”

Trainor's peers like Miley Cyrus, Beyonce and Ariana Grade have no qualms about shedding their clothes in their music videos but she does not follow them for many reasons. The blonde beauty said she is aware of the fact that she does not have a body like them and also does not find it comfortable “bending on a stage in a bathing suit.”

The fact that she does not wear skin-revealing outfits does not mean that she is against them. The songstress feels that singers like Ariana Grande look “classy” when they wear racy outfits on stage. Trainor said Ariana can carry the look as she has “got it” what it takes to rock.

Though Trainor admitted that she will only show her booty to her “future husband,” the singer finds it hard to get a boy to date, especially now that she has become famous. She told the website that she used to get “way more boys” before becoming a pop star and was even in a relationship with one. But her boyfriend “dumped” her because he was scared of dating a pop star. Trainor has released her debut full-length album “Title” on Jan. 13, 2015 and it has landed on No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart this week.
