"White Collar" and Matt Bomer fans will be disappointed to hear that the upcoming TV series' Season 5 only has 13 episodes. "White Collar" Season 5 is shorter this time due to USA Network's final verdict of cutting down the usually 16 episodes to only 13 to have room for series creator Jeff Eastin working on another USA TV series "Graceland."

Ted Linhart, USA Network's Senior Vice President of Research, made the announcement on social networking site Twitter about the decision. "To produce the best season of White Collar USA will do 13 eps this season only, so the showrunner's sked can accommodate both WC & Graceland," Mr Linhard posted on his Twitter account @TedOnTV.

Twitter users gave mixed reactions to the announcement with some inquiring if the TV series is already at risk of not being renewed. However, Ted Linhart gave a response to clarify the issue on his Twitter message that reads: "Actually 13 in cable is very normal these days - so no - not a sign."

Additionally, Jeff Eastin is not the only hands-on person when it comes to frequent involvement in the TV series. Two cast members are set to direct episodes for "White Collar" Season 5 like actor Willie Garson, who portrays Mozzie in the series, for Episode 7 and actor Tim DeKay, who portrays FBI Agent Peter Burke, for Episode 12.

Mr DeKay expressed his excitement to direct an episode of "White Collar" Season 5 in a fan's Twitter account. On the other hand, eccentric actor-director Willie Garson tweeted a hilarious image of himself with a caption that reads: "I dont know, this directing gig is doing the weirdest things to my body."

As part of the preparation and promotion for the upcoming season, USA Network released the cast photos for White Collar featuring the cast members Matt Bomer, who portrays con man Neal Caffrey, Tim DeKay, Tiffani Thiessen, Marsha Thomason and Sharif Atkins. The precise premiere date of "White Collar" Season 5 has not yet been confirmed but the comedy-drama TV series is expected to return on the small screen in October 2013.
