Maroon 5 lead vocalist Adam Levine got a new tattoo on his back. The singer shared the first look photo of the tattoo on his social media account.

On Sunday night, Levine took to Instagram to praise the work of tattoo artist Bryan Randolph. In a black-and-white photo, the singer is seen leaning against a sofa while the tattoo artist inks his back with a giant mermaid clutching a skull.

“If you ever had a tattoo and you don’t get it from @braynrandolph...you’re nuts. He’s the DUDE,” he captioned.

Levine’s wife, Behati Prinsloo, uploaded via Instagram the same photo in which she revealed that the singer invited the tattoo artist to their house. She wrote in the caption, “House Call @bryanrandolph.” Tattoo artist Randolph also shared his latest work with the Maroon 5 frontman on Instagram with the writing, “Last night’s shenanigans.”

In October, the singer hinted about his new tattoo on Instagram. He posted a close-up photo of the tattoo along with the caption, “A clue….” Some of his followers guessed that Prinsloo might be pregnant, while some other got the answer right.

One of the coaches on “The Voice,” Levine has shown several times on the show his collection of body tattoos. The 36-year-old singer already has his back tattooed with an animal paw with the name of his beloved pet dog Frankie and a silhouette of a pinup girl.

His other tattoos include a flying eagle on his lower chest, a detailed rose on his left shoulder, a sanskrit inscription above his heart, a guitar on his left forearm and a tiger on his right forearm.

Levine continues to surprise his fans every now and then. Back in July, the singer shaved his head and posted the picture on Instagram. Fellow “The Voice” coach Blake Shelton made fun of his bald look and Levine was compared to different bald men like Dr. Evil, Mahatma Gandhi and Lex Luthor.
