Mariah Carey's cover of her upcoming new album has landed her into a bit of controversy. Critics are blasting the 45-year-old singer for looking extremely skinny in the sexy cover picture. Carey took to Instagram over the weekend to reveal the artwork for her latest studio album.

The mother of two kids looks stunning on the album cover where she stands tall wearing a cleavage-revealing and thigh-baring sexy black dress. Carey's hands and feet look skinny and so does her waist. She casually puts her hands on her hips as her long blonde tresses contour her face. “#RevealMariah thank you #lambily for joining the fun & revealing my new album cover! My new album #1 To Infinity will be available for pre-orders tomorrow @ 10am EST on mariahcarey.com! More details to follow! #1toInfinity," Carey captioned the picture, which can be seen here.

When her recent picture is compared to her three-day old picture on the same Instagram page, Carey has a very different body type. Her legs look round and thighs have more fat on them when compared to the album cover picture. Carey's fans were quick to notice the difference as many of them have accused the singer of getting herself photoshopped beyond limit.

An Instagram user bparriett called Carey's picture as “fake and dumb” while another Instagram user christinergarner said that he is not surprised that Carey has got her picture photoshopped but what shocked him was the part that “how much they photoshopped her.” The user also added that Carey's fans know that this “isn't what she looks like in real life.” “It's not even close,” he added.

Carey is yet to respond to the photoshop comments. The singer is busy promoting her new album “#1 To Infinity,” which will have new collection of her number one hits of all times. The album, which is scheduled for a May 17 release, will feature all eighteen of her chart-toppers along with one new track, “Infinity.” The new single “Infinity” will be out on April 27. Thereafter, the singer will also get busy in her upcoming Caesars Palace Vegas Residency in Las Vegas.
