World no. 2 Maria Sharapova and fellow tennis star Grigor Dimitrov have been dating for two years since 2013 after Sharapova called off her engagement to Sasha Vujacic. According to the Russian, she enjoys watching her Bulgarian boyfriend grow into a top tennis player.

"It's just obviously nice to have each other, and even though we have our respective careers and we train, to kind of have other's support is always nice," the 27-year-old said according to a report in The Age. Sharapova thinks that Dimitrov has grown so much in terms of focus and commitment to the sport and she's happy to watch his career grow from junior days to being one of the best.

The highest paid sportswoman and one of tennis' most famous faces, Maria Sharapova claims that she is not a fan of expensive things and public drama. In a recent interview on The Project as reported by Sports Mole, the former world no. 1 Russian tennis superstar expressed her desire to keep her personal life out of the spotlight. When asked about the idea of a public proposal the 27-year-old said that she does not like spectacle and she prefers intimate and private occasions.

Sharapova insists that she does not need expensive things to make her happy although she has topped the Forbes list of wealthiest athletes for 10 years. The world no. 2 revealed that she loves art, architecture and karaoke.

The Russian tennis superstar confesses that she although tennis remains as her number one passion; she is also a keen art and architecture fan. In fact, her Manhattan Beach house is a private gallery.

Just recently, Sharapova, who opened her season with a win at the Brisbane International, announced that she's happy to abstain from her favourite drink as she tries to win the 2015 Australian Open title. If she wins the title, she will steal the world no.1 title to the 18-time Grand Slam champion, Serena Williams.
