Several students from a Texas high school have started an online petition to restore their Spanish teacher, Cristy Nicole Deweese, to her job. The petition has so far 300 signatures.

Ms Deweese, 21, was fired from her job by school authorities when some parents discovered she was Playboy's Code of the Month in 2011. She made the nude photoshoot for the iconic men's magazine when she was still a university student.

Here are some of her hot, but still clothed photos.

She was fired on Oct 10 for those images, including totally frontal nude and simulated lesbian sex pictures. School officials refused to comment, and Ms Deweese's contract prohibits her from giving any interviews until Nov 8.

However, she has been posting in social media. She tweeted, "Just because I'm trying to be positive does not mean I didn't love teaching. What's done is done. It's pointless to be depressed about it ... I'm just hoping they find a new teacher soon so it doesn't affect the students," the New York Post quoted the sexy ex-teacher.

The issue has divided parents, with some supporting her and other insisting her nude photos compromised her ability to impart knowledge to her students.

One parent wrote, "You are the best Spanish teacher she ever had. If you need a letter of support you can count on me as a parent and my daughter is willing to support you as well. Hang in there." Another parent, Esmeralda Landa Soch, insisted that she distracted students, especially the males, who are obsessed with her photos.

In the Playboy article, Ms Deweese was quoted as saying, "My butt looks great in jeans, panties or nothing ... My legs are long. But my favorite thing about my body is my breasts. They're small, but real, nicely shaped, and I don't have to worry about back pain, bras, men staring or anything."

However, based on recent events, it seems she forgot that she also has to reckon with conservative parents and school authorities who often frown on magazines like Playboy and women who throw their caution and clothes to the wind during the pictorial.
