It has been months since the producers teased at the 2014 Comic-Con about talking to "Game of Thrones" star Maisie Williams for the role of Ellie in the upcoming "The Last of Us" film. Recently, the 17-year-old English actress, who is known for portraying Arya Stark in the HBO series, revealed that she is still interested to star in the film adaptation even though things in the new project are still on the early stages.

In an Entertainment Weekly interview, Maisie Williams confirmed that she had a meeting with producer Sam Raimi and wrietr Neil Druckmann. The young actress revealed that it was her American agent who set up the meeting with the upcoming film's producer and director.

Maisie Williams admitted that she is aware of some fans suggesting on Twitter that she gets cast as Ellie. The "Game of Thrones" also revealed that she does not know much about the game so she searched about it on Google.

During her talk with Sam Raimi and Neil Druckmann, Maisie Williams told the producer and writer that she is not going to "half-ass" work on the project because of her hectic work scheduled with the hit HBO fantasy series. "So the way it was left is they want me to do it, and I want to do it," Williams shared. The actress claimed that things are looking good at the moment even though there is still no script, director and release date yet.

Ashley Johnson, who offered her voice for Ellie in the video game, shared to IGN earlier this 2014 that she wants the actress who will portray the role to really appreciate the part and have her homework done. At the moment, the interested actress is Maisie Williams. "I'd love to do it. Hell yeah," the GoT star declared.

Aside from starring in "The Last of Us" film, Maisie Williams divulged during the interview that her career wish list includes working with film director Tim Burton. The actress confessed that she is always fascinated with the "Dark Shadows" and "Alice in Wonderland" director. "On my first trip to LA I went to a [Los Angeles County Museum of Art] exhibition on him and I thought this guy, even if I don't work with him, he's so f-king interesting. He would be mad to work with," Williams shared.

Maisie Williams will be returning as Arya Stark in the fifth season of "Game of Thrones" which is scheduled to premiere in spring 2015.
