Apple is rumoured to be working on 2016 editions of MacBook Pro notebook. Speculations suggest that it will be unveiled in the coming month.

Last year, Apple had launched 13-inch MacBook Pro in March whereas its 15-inch variant was released in May. Since the 2015 models were launched almost a year ago, rumours indicate that the Apple will announce the 2016 MacBook Pro models through the Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) event that will start from June 9.

Retailers such as Best Buy and MacMall are also offering attractive discounts on 2015 MacBook Pro models. This is also an indication that the Cupertino company will soon announce MacBook Pro 2016 models.

Apple is rumoured to release a 13-inch and a 15-inch versions of 2016 MacBook Pro notebook. Both the devices will be equipped with Retina Displays. Speculations indicate that the arrival of 2016 MacBook Pro may result in the axing up MacBook Air 2016 lineup.

Sixth Generation Skylake Chipset

Rival companies such as Dell and HP have already launched Skylake chipset powered laptops. However, the Cupertino company is expected to follow the suit by releasing 2016 MacBook Pro powered by sixth generation Skylake chipset. The inclusion of the new chip will enhance overall performance and battery life of the upcoming notebooks from Apple.

It won’t feature physical keys, but users will be able to on its it interface. It will be able to distinguish between different touch pressures and deliver feedback accordingly.

Thunderbolt 3 and USB Type-C

The upcoming MacBook Pro 2016 is speculated to arrive with multiple USB Type-C ports. The speculated Thunderbolt 3 port for the notebook will be able to support data transfer speeds of up to 40 GB/s.
