Lorde Enjoys One Direction Concert In Auckland [PHOTOS and VIDEO]

Lorde is the “weirdest lil goth” at the One Direction concert in Auckland on Saturday. The New Zealand international rising star attended the British boyband’s show after she was accused of bashing the boys in an interview.

The “Royals” singer looked like she was enjoying her time at the concert with other One Directioners. On the other hand, the boys – Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, and Louis Tomlinson – didn’t seem to be aware that the Kiwi music royalty has graced them her presence.

Nevertheless, the 16-year-old Billboard chart-topper was there to enjoy the lads’ music, and that’s what she got.

Going to One Direction concert didn’t seem a very wise move for Lorde. After all, she had reportedly dissed the former “The X Factor UK” finalists in an interview.

“One Direction are pretty overrated and their music isn’t really good. I find it odd that they’re famous,” she allegedly have said.

However, according to oceanup.com, a Belieber (a Justin Bieber fan) created a fake quote purportedly uttered by the young Kiwi singer in a bid to get Bieber’s “Heartbreaker” dethrone “Royals” in the music charts.

Meanwhile, Lorde’s Billboard Hot 100 topper, “Royals,” is being called “racist” by a U.S. blogger. Feministing writer Veronic Bayetti Flores alleged that the student from New Zealand was taking a stab at the rap culture and black people with her song lyrics.

“While I love a good critique of wealth and accumulation and inequity, this song is not one; in fact, it is deeply racist,” Flores wrote.
