While Royal Baby number 2 has yet to come out and there are speculations that Kate Middleton might be induced because she is past due to give birth on April 25, a London company relaunching a breast milk ice cream in the overdue baby’s honour has released the ice cream. The Lickator’s announced the release of the Royal Baby Gaga flavoured ice cream on its Facebook page.

The company assured customers that the ice cream is made using donated breast milk that was screened based on hospital standards. Victoria Healey of The Lickators said the company decided to relaunch to address the continued stigmatisation by some British politicians of breastfeeding in public despite the huge support for its Baby Gaga ice cream released in 2011 for the birth of Prince George.

“We thought the birth of a Royal Baby was a great time to whip up support for mums and say that when it comes to ice cream this summer, breast is best … After all, what else would you give your young prince or princess?” Eonline quotes Healey.

All profits from the sale of Royal Baby Gaga ice cream would be donated to a breastfeeding charity, according to The Lickators. The special edition Royal Baby Gaga ice cream comes in blue and pink tubs and would be available also in select stores.

Meanwhile, The Telegraph reports that Kate may be induced this week since her due date of April 25 have passed. Doctors normally do not wait for more than a week in case of overdue births, the daily said

The Mayo Clinic lists several reasons why labour is induced, including a pregnant woman approaching two weeks beyond due date and labour has not started natural, water has broken but the woman is not having contractions, insufficient amniotic fluid surrounding the baby and medical conditions, such as hypertension or diabetes, that could place the mother or the baby at risk.
