After being in four year on-off romance with former Disney star, Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth has finally called the engagement off. Sources close to the couple claim it was Miley's radical change through the years that caused Liam to rethink the relationship. Other reports however claim the engagement was called off due to Hemsworth's' cheating rumours.

For one, during the MTV Video Music Awards 2013 where Miley had performed her raunchy number of "We Can't Stop", Hemsworth was noticeably absent. Early reports claim Liam was elsewhere shooting a film but later reports stated Hemsworth was "mortified" about being in the event to watch his fiancée's performance.

While this break-up between Miley and Liam could be passed off as another rumour, proof has already presented itself in the earlier weeks. Miley also made sure to make it clear to her fans the real status of her relationship after she un-followed Liam on Twitter. This strangely resembles that of the famous divorce between Katy Perry and Russell Brand. Fans may recall that Katy Perry initially un-followed Brand on Twitter before the divorce was announced.

Now that they are officially over, Miley Cyrus can certainly focus on her career without having to worry about her fiancé. On the other hand, Liam Hemsworth is free to date and get serious with January Jones, the first woman linked to Hemsworth even during his engagement with Cyrus.
