“The Hunger Games” star Liam Hemsworth is gearing up for the promotion of his new film, “The Dressmaker.” Next month, he is heading to Australia to attend the film’s premiere there.

According to Yahoo News, he will attend the Australian premiere of “The Dressmaker” on Oct.18, to be held at Melbourne’s village cinemas at Crown. Hemsworth’s co-stars from the film, Judy Davis, Hugo Weaving and Sarah Snook, are set to join him, and director Jocelyn Moorhouse and film producer Sue Maslin are going to be present as well.

“The Dressmaker,” a revenge comedy film, stars Hemsworth as a simple Australian bloke called Teddy McSwiney. He will be seen romancing Kate Winslet, who is playing expert dressmaker Myrtle "Tilly" Dunnage.

Winslet’s character returns to her hometown to take care of her ailing mother and also to take revenge on those who accused her of murder. She also changes the lives of the people in the town by dressing them in her creations.

The film has been entirely shot in Docklands Studio Melbourne and in Victoria state. The film’s post-production work also took place in Australia.

Speaking about the film, producer Maslin told The Screen Blog, “It works on so many levels, the small town concept travels universally. And Tilly, the central character, who comes back to Dungatar seeking revenge after years working in the world of Parisian haute couture, is such a complex and an intriguing character.”

She added that adapting the film from the Rosalie Ham’s novel “The Dressmaker” was easy as it is visually enchanting.

The film will have its world premiere at Toronto Film Festival on Sep. 14. Moorhouse has directed the film from the screenplay by Jocelyn Moorhouse and P.J. Hogan. David Hirschfelder has supplied the music. It opens in Australia on Oct.29, 2015.
