Sometime in late August, LG Electronics is expected to announce the new LG G4 S followed by LG G4 Pro and LG G4 Note smartphones in the last quarter of the year. It is been rumored that G4 S will be a smaller and cheaper version of G4 keeping in mind, that the Korean giant already introduced the bigger G4 Stylus. The LG G4 was officially introduced last April and was released in the U.S. via wireless carriers just last month.

According to Christian Today, the LG G4 S smartphone is expected to sport a 5.2 inch 1080p full HD display screen with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. The 8 mega pixel camera on the back is also predicted to accompany dual-LED flash and autofocus capabilities and a 5 mega pixel front facing unit.

And the most exciting bits of information is that the new smartphone will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset with octa-core CPU and Adreno 405 GPU as reported by Softpedia. A GFXBench benchmark entry revealed the specs of the upcoming offering of the Korean manufacturer. The device will host 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable memory. The device will embrace a rich connectivity suite including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and NFC. The LG G4 S will run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

In comparison with the previous model, the LG G4 sports a 5.5 inch IPS LCD display screen with a 1440 x 2560 resolution and a sharp 18 mega pixel rear camera. It packs Qualcomm's MSM8992 Snapdragon 808 along with 3 GB RAM, an expandable 32 GB internal memory storage and a whopping 3000 mAh battery.

There has been no communication from the company on the launch date of LG G4 S. It is still uncertain at this time when exactly it will be launched and how much it will cost.
