The much awaited LG G4 was unveiled on April 28. The last year’s LG G3 was a flagship model. The LG G4 is powered by Snapdragon 808 chipset whereas smartphones like the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro, the LG G Flex 2, the HTC One M9 and the Sony Xperia Z4 are all powered by the Snapdragon 810 chip. However, it does come with compelling features when compared to the older LG G3.

LG G4 Specifications And Features

One of the most striking features of the LG G4 is its impressive design. It feels more premium to hold the LG G4 than 2014’s LG flagship. The LG G4 comes with a large 5.5-inch Quad HD screen that supports 538 ppi pixel density.

The LG G4 is powered by Snapdragon 808 chipset that houses a hexa-core processor. It contains dual cores of Cortex A57 clocking at 1.8 and quad-cores of Cortex A53 clocking at 1.44 GHz. The chipset also includes the Adreno 418 graphics. The SoC is supported by 3 GB of RAM. The external storage slot supports up to 128 GB of microSD.

There is a 16 MP shooter featuring an Optical Image Stabilisation and dual-LED flash on the rear. There is a front-facing selfie camera of 8 MP. The device comes preloaded with the most recent Android 5.1 Lollipop OS overlaid with LG UX 4.0 proprietary software. It comes with host of connectivity features like 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.1 and so on. Lastly, it is packed with a sizable battery of 3000 mAh capacity.

LG G4 Release Date And Pricing

LG G4 will go on sale at the end of May in the home country. It is expected to get released in 170 countries, states Phone Arena. In the U.S., the leading carriers like AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and U.S. Cellular will be selling the LG G4 with a price tag of $200 along with a two-year contract.

To purchase the leather back edition of the LG G4, users will have to shell out additional $100. T-Mobile will start selling the LG G4 from June 1 for $599. The price of the unlocked LG G4 is expected to be more than $600.
