The Google Nexus 2015 on release date will have superior capabilities locked inside its masterfully crafted shell, this according to the newly revealed LG G4 specifications. Topping the supreme mobile functionalities is a super-camera, all the more making the G4 a solid candidate as the next Nexus smartphone.

Rumour has it that Google is picking LG to mass produce the former’s sequel to the Motorola-made Nexus 6. If true, the South Korean device vendor is likely to mould the vanilla Android flagship after its best smartphone offering. The LG G4 fits the bill.

In a new report, Business Korea shared some details that the Korean news site said will be part of the LG G4 unboxing. Should the Google-LG deal pushes through, the specs and features provided below will be enjoyed as well by millions of Nexus fans:

Curvy profile

Curved body is seen as the new smartphone standard beginning this 2015 and LG is following Samsung’s lead when the latter presented its sexy Galaxy S6 Edge. The G4, Business Korea said, will have a subtle curvature radius of 3000mm. The bend flows along the device height and not as pronounced as what was seen in the S6 Edge.

The design not only serves aesthetic purposes. It will allow better handset grip, which translates to ease of use. The G4 curvature will also lend some form of durability as the device is likely to mitigate the impact during an accidental drop. And the credit goes to the G4’s slightly curved body.

Premium frame

In building the LG G4, the emphasis was on achieving classic style and corporate look, which explains the G4 variants with leather back cover. “The G4 will also be the first domestic smartphone with a real leather cover,” the report said.

In giving the latest flagship LG device a look and build that can slug it out with the metallic smartphones out there, its maker also considered users’ convenience. That is why the premium back cover is ready to be peeled off so users can slide in a fully-charged battery once the stock 3000mAh battery runs out of juice.

Superb camera features

As camera is one of the most frequently-accessed smartphone features, LG made sure that the system to come with the G4 is nothing short of spectacular. The shooting mix is 16MP on rear and 8MP on front, the latter obviously a come-on for selfie fanatics.

But the camera highlight really is on the main shooter that is laced with an f/1.8 aperture. To stress why the upgrade is remarkable, Business Korea noted that “even for DSLR camera lenses, an aperture of f/1.4 to 2.8 is a high-quality product.”

And chances are the killer features above will find their way too on the Google Nexus 2015 flagship once it becomes a reality. Going by the previous rollout moves by Google, release date of the device is likely between October and November this year.
