Months after “The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes" release, Nintendo has provided several updates for the game. The updates are free and include several new contents for the title.

Update 2.1.0. for “The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes” is out now, and instead of having a handful of fixes and adjustments for the main game, the update adds a new feature to the game, Dualshockers reports. The update introduces a new in-game currency called Hero Points. Aside from the new feature, the developer also added several unindentified gameplay adjustments.

The new Hero Points allow players to upgrade certain costumes and make them more powerful. They can also be used to purchase materials from the Street Merchant so that players could create outfits they don’t currently own. Game producer Eiji Anouma also provided a brief introduction to the new feature, Nintendolife reports.

Players can earn Hero Points through several methods such as clearing any level or challenge in Local Play or by choosing the “I can’t decide!” option in Online Play.

To download the update, players have to do the following:

  1. Perform a system update to ensure you have the most up-to-date version.
  2. Start the Nintendo eShop and search for “The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes” and tap the item for The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes Update Ver. 2.0.0.
  3. On the The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes Update Ver. 2.0.0 page, select “Tap Here to Download” and follow the on-screen directions.
    • Once the download is complete, the update will automatically be applied.
    • The update data will be saved on the SD Card inserted in your Nintendo 3DS system.
  4. Start The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes and check that it has been updated correctly. If the version number shown is Ver. 2.0.0, the update has been successful.
