Miami Heat superstar LeBron James could be mulling a comeback in Cleveland at the end of the season, according to his former Cavaliers teammate Andersen Verajao.

Verajao, who played with the four-time NBA MVP for seven seasons with the Cavs, said he was told by James in a regular-season game between both teams that a return in Cleveland is something to be talked about.

James bolted out of Cleveland in 2010 to join fellow free-agents Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in South Beach - a move that allowed him to win two more MVPs and reach the NBA finals in the last four seasons.

However, there are speculations about a potential return by the Akron native to the team that drafted first overall in 2003. James can opt out this year to become a free-agent again this offseason.

According to Cleveland Plain Dealer reporter Mary Schmitt Boyer, a journalism graduate Marcelo Urbano had an interview with Verajao, asking the Brazilian big man if he thinks James will return in his home state.

Verajao said James indeed informed him of his interest to talk about a return in Cleveland, but that discussion could wait until probabaly the conclusion of this year's NBA finals.

"Andy just declared on ESPN Brazil that he ask LeBron about a possible comeback, LeBron told him that they will talk later about that,'' Cavs Brazil tweeted.

"Andy said he would not hide that he actually talked to James about it,'' Urbano said. "He said that happened during the season when LeBron was in [the] Q Arena. Andy did not specify whether it was on Z's night (March 8 when the Cavs retired Zydrunas Ilgauskas' No. 11) or when the Heat was playing the Cavs. He says that he asked LeBron about a comeback. LeBron's response was that they would talk about that later."

ESPN Brazil tried to contact Verajao in an attempt to confirm his previous statement, but they were reportedly unsuccessful. Then again, the latest report on James' Cavaliers comeback certainly piqued the interest of die-hard Cavs fans, who are waiting anxiously for the return of the prodigal Cleveland star.

The Cavaliers have the chance to improve their lineup this offseason, having the luxury of using the first overall pick in a loaded NBA Draft and ample cap space to sign elite free-agents. But there's no doubt the biggest prize of them all is to retain the service of James this summer.
