A leaked press render of the Huawei Nexus 6P AndroidPolice

On Tuesday, the much awaited Google Nexus 5X and the Google Nexus 6P will be announced through a launch event. A leaked presentation of the Huawei Nexus 6P has cropped up and has confirmed the previous rumours on its specs and features.

The images of the presentation were uploaded on Imgur on Sept. 25. The presentation reveals that the Nexus 6P will be the first ever Nexus smartphone to feature a full-metal chassis. It housed dual speakers on the front panel.

The presentation does not reveal the exact measurements of the device but mentions that the handset sports a sleek and thin design. The Google Nexus 6P is fitted with a 5.7 inches display that carries support for WQHD resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels, Android Police reported.

The Google Nexus 6P is powered by Snapdragon 810 v2.1 chipset. It is the very same chip that also powers the OnePlus 2 handset that was announced in July this year. The Snapdragon 810 v2.1 that features a 64-bit octa-core processor is the enhanced version of the Snapdragon 810 chip that caused overheating problems on handsets like the Sony Xperia Z3+, HTC One M9 and LG G Flex 2.

The tech specs shown on the presentation does not mention the amount of RAM present inside the Nexus 6P. Rumours have it that it features 3 GB of RAM. The USB Type-C connector supports quick charging as well as faster data transfer speeds. The Nexus 6P will be available in 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB variants.

Also, it does not carry information on the megapixels of the front and rear cameras. However, speculations are rife that the handset will be coming with 13-megapixel frontal camera and rear camera of 5 MP. The presentation states that the camera of the device can snap great quality photos in low-light situations.

The fingerprint sensor on the rear panel can be used for unlocking the device as well as for making secure transactions through Android Pay. The Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS comes with features like Nexus on Tap that provides users with contextual information; and improved battery stand-by system for longer performance; simplified app permissions and more.

The Nexus 6P will arrive in four colors aluminum, graphite, frost and gold. The gold color may be exclusively available in Japan at the beginning. Lastly, it will be featuring a huge battery of 3,450 mAh.
