New Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge concept with curved screen at top and bottom 3DFuture

Rumors about Samsung's Galaxy S7 Edge continue to make the rounds on the Internet. Although the Korean tech giant's previous flagships have been very successful, the rumor mill is abuzz with reports the company has plans of taking its next gen smartphone to the next level.

Much to the delight of avid Samsung device users, a possible concept design for the Galaxy S7 has been leaked on 3DFuture.

The concept Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge features several design attributes adopted on previous phones, stated the 3DFuture design team. "The phone will be waterproofed, as we can see that the USB slot is nicely covered”.

Considering the device is going to be an "Edge" smartphone, the leaked concept design features a curved screen display. Although this kind of screen technology isn’t new to Samsung, what separates the Galaxy S7 Edge from the other models in its series is the curves are on the device's upper and lower portions, according to Tech Times. Its predecessors featured this curved design on their sides.

Apart from the new position of the curved edges, the leaked concept design also shows the Galaxy S7 Edge will no longer sport physical buttons on its top and bottom. Instead, the buttons will be found on the sides.

The device's overall design has also been changed. As seen on the leaked design, the Galaxy S7 Edge is going to have a very unique shape that will separate it from all other handsets. Instead of the usual rectangular shape, the Galaxy S7 Edge is expected to have a trapezoidal shape, giving the device a quirky appeal.

The phone’s 5.7-inch 4K display will also be much bigger than its predecessors. The phone will also boast of an all-metal chassis similar to the Galaxy S6 series.
