Lady Gaga admitted to being raped when she was a teenager and did a lot to get over it by herself. While she appreciates the support she is garnering behind her confession, she called Ke$ha's lawyer bullshit for saying the man behind the rape was Dr Luke.

Artpop star admitted in an U.S. radio interview with "America's Got Talent" judge Howard Stern that she was raped when she was just 19 by a man who is two decades older than her. She described the things that she went through at the time as "horrific." "I was about 19. I went to Catholic school and then all this crazy stuff happened and I was going, 'oh is this just the way adults are?' I was very naïve," Lady Gaga detailed.

Following this confession, Ke$ha's lawyer, Mark Geragos tweeted, "Guess who the rapist was?" Someone replied that the rapist must be Dr Luke, and Geragos replied, "#bingo." Lady Gaga was reportedly angry by this and a rep of the singer told TMZ that this is not true and can be considered defamatory. The lawyer, however, is now insisting that it is the truth.

The rapist, even though still unnamed, had significantly affected the singer. However, Lady Gaga is refusing to let her current success be defined by the horrific incident.

At first, Lady Gaga did not find any reason to deal with the event and seek help. Lady Gaga did not ever confront her attacker, even though she saw him at a store one time. She said the fear of confrontation and how she would react when they see each other face to face stopped her. The fear "paralyzed" her from dealing with her attacker. She said it even took her a long time to come into terms over what happened and seek help. Instead of speaking up and seeking help, she was drinking and getting into all sorts of "nonsense."

However, at one point, she just realized that she had to go to the source instead of wrecking her life over it and being defined by the incident. "I'll be damned if somebody is going to say that every creatively intelligent thing that I ever did is all boiled down to one d***head that did that to me," Lady Gaga said.
