Lady Gaga and Jane Fonda stole the show at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, or HFPA, annual grants banquet held at Beverly Wilshire, Beverly Hills, California on August 13. The 29-year-old singer and 77-year-old actress stunned in their designer ensembles at the event.

Fonda was dressed in a floor-length sparkling gown with a plunging V neckline. The gown featured long sleeves. The actress accessorised with diamond drop earrings, while her bob hair was brushed back. The “Youth” actress was greeted with laughs after accepting a grant to the Sundance Film Institute on behalf of her one-time co-star and friend Robert Redford, Variety reported.

Meanwhile, Gaga, known for her eccentric sense of style, made an appearance this time in a simple and elegant white gown. She channelled Old Hollywood glamour with her stunning dress. The ivory gown is by British designer Vivienne Westwood and it featured subtle draping in the waist.

A shorter version of the draped silk falle dress is available online and features off-the-shoulder Bateau neckline. The blonde beauty styled her tresses in loose waves with a side part. Her striking makeup consisted of silver metallic eyeshadow, pink lipstick and blonde eyebrows. The "Poker Face" singer also accessorised with a quirky pair of long silver earrings.

Gaga was escorted in a Rolls Royce to the event and snapped several photographs inside the vintage car. The 29-year-old singer-turned-actress was at the star-studded event to present an award as well as promote her upcoming acting debut in the Ryan Murphy-produced “American Horror Story.”

This is the second time that HFPA organised the event as a dinner banquet, unlike its annual lunches. The group which hosts the Golden Globe Awards invited an A-list line-up that also included Halle Berry, Andrew Garfield, Joe Manganiello, Brie Larson, Elizabeth Banks, Ty Burrell, Saoirse Ronan, Ice Cube, America Ferrera, Topher Grace, Jason Isaacs, Dakota Johnson, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Allison Janney and Sophia Bush. Nick Jonas kicked off the evening by singing “Wonderful World.”

Meanwhile, the 73rd annual Golden Globes will be presented on January 10, 2016.
