Kim Kardashian has been very vocal about her obsession with her one-year-old daughter North and how she and husband Kanye West are trying to get pregnant again as soon as possible. Despite all the positivity surrounding her quest for baby number 2, Kim has also very openly talked about her struggles during her first pregnancy. Despite the psychological and physical issues, Kim is not letting anything, not even her fear of weight gain, stop her from getting pregnant again.

While in Australia last week to join Kanye West for a five-city concert tour, Kim stopped by the Today Show to have a chat with Tim Dormer. Kim said once again that she and her rapper husband are working on making a playmate for baby North. Like in many previous occasions, Kim stated her desire to have a big family similar to the one she enjoyed while growing up. After having one daughter and a difficult pregnancy, Kim is still determined to add to her family and says that she and Kanye will try for one more and see what they will do from there.

Kim has mentioned in another interview with Ellen Degeneres a few weeks ago that while she is looking forward to a new baby, she isn't looking forward to the pregnancy. She said that she is dreading having to deal with it again. Kim famously gained approximately 50 pounds during her first pregnancy and she was constantly criticised for it. Apart from the weight gain and bullying, Kim also had to deal with more serious issues with her health. She was in constant pain during her pregnancy and even revealed the news to her sister Kourtney after she needed to ask Kourtney to pick her up from the hospital following getting checked due to severe abdominal pain. Kim also experienced preeclampsia, which forced her to deliver North slightly earlier than her due date because of possible threats to her own health. Preeclampsia is a common medical condition that affects pregnant women which may include high blood pressure and complication to other major organs.

Kim emphasized in her Today show interview that she won't let the weight gain and other issues stand in her way. She says that motherhood has changed her so much and that nothing matters more than the time spent with family.
