Reality TV star and business mogul Kim Kardashian West has finally released her first-of-its-kind selfie book entitled “Selfish.” The 352-page full-colour book hit the shelves on Tuesday, May 5 after about a year since it was first announced.

Kim announced the release herself via social media. She posted a photo on Instagram showing copies of the book all stacked together and ready for distribution. She also announced a signing that took place at Barnes and Noble last night for the first few lucky fans who purchased copies of the book. Always the social media maven, Kim also shared the announcement on twitter:

News about the selfie book came out early last year after Kim took thousands of selfies while on a family trip to Thailand. Everything was documented on an episode of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” where Kim explained that she wanted to share the experience with her then-fiancé, Kanye West. She says she first started sharing sexy selfies with him because their busy schedules kept them apart quite often. He liked them so much so Kim decided to gift him with a book.

It was then Kanye who turned the personal present into a business venture. He encouraged Kim to take her selfies to another level by making them available to the general public. The idea for the book was born and now, about a year later, it has finally hit the shelves.

Before the book came out, Kim was already busy giving her fans a sneak peek of what to expect. She has been peppering her Instagram with excerpts from the book and as expected, there were a lot of sexy photos. In one particular post where she posed in sexy white lingerie, she said: “Don't think I didn't put lots of sexy pics in my new book #SELFISH

On earth day two weeks ago, she also posted a sexy bikini selfie where she stood in front of a backdrop of hanging plants. She wore a white, two-piece bandeau bikini and took a mirror selfie flanked by greenery. She says that she’s got a selfie for every occasion and with the coffee table book now out, her fans can enjoy her selfies every day of the year as well.

The book has hit bookstores across the U.S. and is also available to be ordered online through Amazon. In the book’s online selling page, a small preview shows not only photos of Kim but selfires that includes some family members and close friends. With over a decade worth of selfies in the book, Kim’s fans will certainly be getting their fill of the reality star. The book sells for USD 12.45 on Amazon.
