Reality star Kim Kardashian West will release her selfie book in May. Entitled “Kim Kardashian: Selfish,” the book contains a compilation of over 2,000 photos that Kim has taken of herself over the past decade. Recent reports reveal that according to Kim, she was taking selfies even before they were cool.

According to TMZ, Kim said that she was taking photos of herself way back from when she was only 4 years old. She also reportedly took up the habit way before the age of social media. "I took pictures of myself with digital cameras when I was in junior high and high school, and I just got hooked."

Kim stated the obvious and said that she’s obsessed with selfies even before the rest of the world caught up with the trend. Since the dawn of social media, the selfie trend has gained popularity and Kim has become not only one of the most photographed celebrities, she has also gained a reputation as the selfie queen because of the number of selfies that she takes and shares with her fans and followers on social media.

This year, Kim has taken her obsession further by making her selfies commercially available through the first ever selfie book. When Kim shared the image that was chosen for the book cover last week, she gave a shout out to her husband Kanye West for inspiring the book. TMZ reveals that Kanye didn’t just inspire the book but it was actually his idea and he even though of the title which is “Kim Kardashian: Selfish.” The cover image is predictably a selfie and shows the star with her signature pout. She shows off her ample cleavage in the photo where she is wearing only a nude coloured bra top.

Kanye’s creative team Donda supposedly came up with the look for the selfie book which has so far been kept under wraps. The book is set to come out in May and is being published under New York based publishing house Rizzoli.
