Based on a recent leak, a brand new smartphone from HTC dubbed, the One E9, is ready for launch. Apparently, the HTC One E9 also goes by the names Hima Ace and HTC A55.

According to the credible tipster @upleaks, the HTC One E9 launch date is pegged for late March and the device will debut in China. As far as the key HTC One E9 specifications go, the handset will reportedly feature a humongous 5.5-inch display. And notably, the E9 is the first HTC smartphone to flaunt a 2K or Quad HD screen resolution of 1,440 x 2,560 pixels.

Under the hood, the handset will reportedly be powered by a 64-bit, octa-core (MediaTek MT6795) SoC, clocked at 2.0 GHz. Plus, the device will apparently come backed by a solid 3 GB of RAM configuration. On the software end, the handset will run on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS, along with the latest HTC Sense 7.0 UI on top of it. Similar to other high-end HTC smartphones, this handset will also reportedly come with HTC BoomSound speakers.

When it comes to camera specification, there will be a whopping 20 MP rear-facing camera unit and a gracious 4 MP UltraPixel front-facing shooter. However, it is worth noting that, in selected regions, the front-facing unit will reportedly be a 13 MP sensor. With respect to memory specification, the HTC One E9 will come equipped with 32 GB of internal storage capacity.

Speaking of colour choices, HTC will reportedly make the One M9 available in three versions namely white rose gold, metallic gray and brown gold. In the meantime, Phone Arena opines that, the E9 with its high-end, cutting-edge specifications could be the long-rumoured “HTC One M9 Plus” handset. In any case, the tech giant has not confirmed the HTC One E9 release date, specifications or the official name thus far.

Moving on to the reported One E9 accessories, HTC will apparently release three different cases and they are, the DotView Case with model number HC M220, Clear Case with model number HC C1131 and Leather Case with model number HC C1130.

What do you think of the HTC One E9 specifications? With One M9 launched only a week ago, will E9 get its due? Feel free to leave a comment.
