A 45-year-old man in the subject of a manhunt after he set a bouncer of a bar in Port St Lucie, Florida, on fire. The bouncer kicked out Ivan Louis Rodriguez who was refused service because his previous cheques bounced.

The victim. Brian Johnston, the bouncer of Grog House in Neely, is in critical condition in a Miami hospital. He has severe burns on his face, arms and chest, according to the New York Daily News.

Port St Lucie Police Sgt Frank Sabol said that Johnston kicked out Rodriguez from the bar when he could not raise money by challenging other bar guests to games of pool. Two hours after he was kicked out, Johnston returned with a cup of gasoline which he tossed on Johnston.

The bouncer and another man chased Rodriguez whom he tackled in the parking lot. Rodriguez then took out a lighter and set Johnston on fire. He then fled on a truck.

Johnston was airlifted to a Miami hospital. Rodriguez will be charged with aggravated battery, police said.
