Models Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner took a break from walking down the runway and went for a girls’ day out on Friday. Kendall had lunch at a posh L’Avenue restaurant with her family including mom Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian and brother-in-law Kanye West. Later like normal tourists, the two friends went shopping at Celine and visited the Notre Dame cathedral, according to Elle.

Gigi and Kendall took their friendship to a new level by visiting the Pont des Arts Bridge over River Seine. It is the city’s iconic pedestrian bridge across the Seine near the Louvre. The chain link fences along the sides of the bridge are fully covered with padlocks in a romantic display by couples wanting to “lock” their love. The new BFFs sealed their friendship by adding a lock on the bridge and throwing away the key into the river.

The supermodels instead of the clichéd practice of writing the names of their respective boyfriends celebrated their Paris stay in a different way by writing “PFW AW 15 3/16” on the padlock. Gigi was dressed casually in a black trouser that was rolled up to her ankle, a white T-shirt, a black long winter coat to keep warm while carrying funky sunglasses. She sported a casual chic style by wearing a pair of white platform lace-up sneakers from Ash, which had a teal highlight at the heel. The 19-year-old daughter of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” famed television personality Yolanda Foster kept her long blonde locks loose down her shoulders.

Meanwhile, Kendall opted for a monochrome look. She wore a white knit sweater and black skin-tight leather trousers. Her look was accessorised with black ankle length studded boots and carried a matching Celine handbag for the outing while leaving her brunette tresses open. On their little outing, Kendall was reportedly mobbed by fans. After a show at PFW Gigi told that though she and Kendall were in the same profession, they were not in competition with each other and loved to catch up before a show.
