It was just last month when pop singer and fashion icon Katy Perry celebrated her first year wedding anniversary with writer and comedian Russell Brand. After being vocal first of her intentions then of not being ready to have a child yet, now she is eager to talk about raising their own family.

It was during Ellen's November 11th show that she was asked if they were already making plans for a baby. It was a surprising 'Yes' from the artist, so far as things are going for their lives. She believes that to have children is one of the main reasons why couples get married.

"You think, Hmmm, that person is going to be a good partner, a good parent," she told the host. "But I'm not sure it's yet. We'll see, you know?' the singer added.

When asked about how many kids she would want to have, she just simply answered that she want as many as she can for as long as it will not cause her too much pain the first time around.

This was followed by a humorous reply from Ellen saying, "Word around town is it hurts. But people keep doing it anyway - they don't care."

She also shared that in maintaining their relationship, they make it to a point that they are not allowed to go beyond two weeks of being apart or not seeing each other. Blame it all on the very busy schedules of the two celebrities. "Anything longer than that is not fun," Perry added.

They did not regret getting married privately away from the public eye last October 23, 2010. Their wedding was a spiritual one held in India.
