Katy Perry joined the list of many celebrities who paid tribute to celebrity make up artist Jake Bailey after his death. The “Roar” singer took to Instagram to remember Bailey, who was found dead from an apparent suicide at his Los Angeles home on Friday.

Perry called Bailey as a “sweet, sensitive soul” and said they both had a “wonderful journey together.” The two created “beautiful art,” which helped her conquer the “world's biggest stages,” Perry said in a touching post on Instagram, alongside a collage of pictures with Bailey.

She continued, "I know you felt life so intensely and it created this incredible artistic passion in you that came out in everything you touched, from the amazing images you took to the ways you painted your muses, highlighting the beauty in everyone.”

Perry attributed her sense of style to Bailey's "otherworldly eye to detail" and thanked him for creating her "look" ever since the two met on the set of her "Hot N Cold" music video. The songstress revealed that they confided in each other and were always there for each other in their worst times. She continued her tribute by writing about their favourite moments together, which included co-meditation.

“My favorite moments of recent times is when we would meditate together during breaks on different jobs...tune all the noise out, forget about hollywood and the chaos that surrounds it, and look for a slice of peace, 20 minutes at a time,” she wrote.

The “Dark Horse” songstress then turned philosophical and said she is aware how hard it is to find consistent happiness on earth. She signed off by saying that she understands her friend is now “finally and forevermore” at peace.
