The world’s number one Kate Middleton lookalike Heidi Agan, is a former waitress whose resemblance to the Duchess now allows her to travel the world in style and take on projects that would require the Duchess’ doppelganger. With this fame comes a steep price as she constantly deals with death threats from Internet trolls.

On Friday, Agan shared that she has recently being targeted at by Internet trolls threatening the Royal family. The lookalike however, refuses to divulge from what country the threats came from. While she got worried, she just brushed the threats off, saying the benefits of being a lookalike significantly trumps those negative things she has to deal with.

According to Agan, being a fake Kate Middleton has unbelievable perks. First, she gets to travel around the world taking on lookalike projects, some of which are just weird but pay well. She said the competition is steep because there are currently 180 fake Kates around the world in the business, while there are only four Williams. However, she said that the Kate lookalikes do not have hard feelings against one another, because they consider themselves as a family.

Her assignments took her to Australia, New York, and Hong Kong among others. Most of her assignments require her to promote brands, whose owners want to present a faux royal seal of approval. The mother of two said she does not disappoint clients. She also conduct research on her own to get the real Princess Kate’s mannerisms down pat. Additionally, a benefit of her uncanny resemblance to Kate is the attention from men. She said that when she entered the lookalike business just three years ago, she already garnered 15 marriage proposals.

One downside however, of being a royal family member lookalike is that she is constantly being harassed by the public. Another downside is getting the death threats from those who do not like the royal family. She also suffers from severe anxiety whenever she is tasked to do live TV as the pressure is unimaginable. Still, she shared that despite these negatives, she constantly needed to pinch herself to check if she is truly experiencing this rich and famous life.

The real Duchess, however, with her due date so near, is just as busy. She managed to squeeze in three engagements in one day on Friday, Mar. 27 in South East London. Her maternity starts after. The Duchess has already revealed that her due date is mid-to-end of April.
