Though she is known to be the "practical duchess," being Kate Middleton does not come cheap. And her father-in-law, Prince Charles, surely knows it.
Although she is hailed as Britain's most naturally beautiful woman, being in the Duchess' shoes is no cheap affair. Australian Vogue has revealed summed Kate Middleton spends on her beauty regimens, maintenance, and clothes and the total cost is a whopping £102, 379. This includes treatments she gets for her hair, jewelry, beauty-related procedures, and of course, her clothes.
According to reports, the secret to Kate Middleton's shiny locks is a yearly amount of £8,000 spent at the plush Richard Ward's Sloane Square Salon. The Duchess' mane treatments include blow-dries, organic color treatments every six weeks, and Keratin Infusion extra moisture treatments. No wonder one of her greatest assets is her hair
The beautiful glow of Kate's skin and her fit physique comes with a hefty price as well. Every year, the Duchess splashes out £7,984 for expensive, high-end spray tans. The fee of an exclusive and well-experienced personal trainer also comes with this bracket of expenses.
Meanwhile, the dresses she steps out with, no matter how cheap or glitzy they may seem, costs £35,000 yearly. It is said that Prince Charles has offered to pay for Kate's "royal family and work-related" wardrobe out of his own household budget.
"Catherine has an innate sense of style and, almost as importantly, knows what is appropriate for the occasion. She might not choose the most cutting edge designers, but she know what looks good on her and that's what counts." told an insider in a report.
Though she might have every girl's dream father-in-law, The Duchess does her part in keeping costs low and practical by refusing to hire any stylists.
"Plus she is acutely conscious that she is not yet a full-time working royal and feels it is pretty pointless, as well as extravagant, to have her own dresser." added the source in the same post.
