Kate Middleton and Prince William have officially joined the two popular social media networks, Twitter and Instagram. The Duchess and the Duke of Cambridge are not the only royals to join social media, however; it seems Prince Harry is also part of their new venture.

On Jan. 14, Buckingham Palace announced the exciting news via their own Twitter handle, @British Monarchy. The account user posted a tweet announcing the official yet combined handle for Kate Middleton, Prince William and Prince Harry. For newsfeeds and updates, you can follow the trio on @KensingtonRoyal.

The Twitter post of the big announcement read: "Welcome, @KensingtonRoyal the official twitter account for The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry." The social media account for the royalties is expected to provide "updates, pictures and videos from Kensington Palace, about The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Harry and their Royal Foundation," as stated in the bio.

The Twitter account has so far posted 21 tweets and has 92K followers. The first tweet from the royals' account was sent out at 3:30 p.m. on Jan. 14, 2015. Scroll down to read the tweet.

A series of tweets have been posted about the Coachcore event held at St. James' Palace. And the latest post is a reminder of Kate Middleton's first 2015 public appearance at a charity event at Barlby Primary School in London.

After signing up on Twitter, the royals also joined the photo and video sharing social networking app Instagram with the same handle @kensingtonroyal. So far there are only two photos on the account. The first picture on the account shows Prince Harry standing next to NBA player Dikembe Mutombo. Even though there is no bio for the profile, the royals s far have garnered 66.9K followers.

England's 88-year-old monarch sent her first ever tweet on Oct. 24, 2014 via the Twitter handle @British Monarchy. The queen announced the inauguration of the Information Age exhibition and signed it as Elizabeth R. The account is managed by palace officials for formal announcements.
