The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, glows in a coat dress made by Emilia Wickstead. Kate was present as her husband William in honored as Knight of the Whistle.

Simple but classy. Both words have remained Kate Middleton's sense of style. Yesterday, The Duchess of Cambridge stepped out in an unusual choice of color but nonetheless she carried with much poise.

Kate Middleton wore an Emilia Wickstead primrose coat dress for the special occasion. She then again displayed her thriftiness by pairing it with a hat she previously wore in royal duties. Kate has been showing fondness to the New Zealand born designer. She famously wore another of Wickstead's creations during the Queen's Jubilee lunch.

The British-based designer is a fast growing favorite of London's high society. And with The Duchess of Cambridge as its fan, the label's success is a sure promise.

It was Kate and William's first engagement as the Earl and Countess of Strathearn, which are the titles they use in Scotland. The Order of the Thistle, which was founded in 1687, is unique to Scotland and is a personal gift to The Queen.

The order honors men and women who are in public office or have contributed in a significant way in the society. The Royal Family, including The Queen and The Duke of Cambridge entered the cathedral before 11 a.m. while The Duchess of Cambridge took a spot at the audience.
