The Duchess of Cambridge is reportedly expected to return to public engagements in June. It’s believed Queen Elizabeth II wants Kate Middleton to resume with her royal duties already, even just a month since giving birth to her second child, Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.

According to UK’s OK Magazine, the Duchess of Cambridge is ready to return to her royal duties only after four weeks since giving birth to Princess Charlotte on May 2. Queen Elizabeth II reportedly wants Kate Middleton to be present during her birthday parade on June 13.

When Kate Middleton was pregnant with her first child, Prince George, she reportedly took 39 days of maternity leave. But according to a royal insider, the queen “thinks a month is more than enough time” for the Duchess of Cambridge to recuperate since Charlotte’s birth. The source further claimed Queen Elizabeth II thinks Kate "should return to performing her royal duties.”

"It's a huge public event, an incredible pageant carried out by the Queen's personal troops. Kate will be on show for it, dressed up in a smart outfit, with the eyes of the world on her,” the source added.

There shouldn’t be a problem if Kate Middleton does return to her royal duties earlier than anticipated. Previous reports have suggested that the Duchess’ parents, Michael and Carole Middleton, are always there to give a hand when needed so they can watch over their grandchildren.

Kate Middleton and her two children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, are currently vacationing in their cottage home at the royal’s Norfolk estate. The family briefly stayed in Kensington palace shortly after the princess’ birth before they headed out to Anmer Hall for some peace and relaxation. While the Duchess of Cambridge continues to recuperate, her husband Prince William has gone back to performing his royal duties.

The end to the Duke of Cambridge’s paternity leave was officially marked with a visit to Switzerland. According to E Online, two weeks after Princess Charlotte’s birth Prince William was busy leading The Royal Foundation in its collaboration with some of the country’s conservation groups to discuss measures to fight illegal wildlife trade.
