The Duchess of Cambridge is rumoured to give birth to her second baby on April 25, and the media is anticipating the reveal of the royal baby’s gender. Kate Middleton and Prince William had insisted on keeping the child’s sex a surprise until the delivery, although bets have been high on the newborn being a girl. However, according to the Duchess’ uncle Gary Goldsmith, fans of the royal couple shouldn’t fret if baby no. 2 doesn’t come out to be a girl since Kate and William reportedly have plans of having more than two children. There’s said to be a likely chance that the couple’s third child would be a girl.

Wealthy recruitment mogul Gary Goldsmith, Kate Middleton’s uncle from the maternal side of her family, told The Sun that the Duchess of Cambridge will likely want a big family in the future. According to Mirror UK, Goldsmith has assured royal fans not to be upset if baby no. 2 doesn’t come out to be a girl as what everyone seems to be expecting, as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will eventually have a girl in their family in the future.

"I don't think they'll stop at two so if it isn't a girl this time around, people shouldn't be too disappointed. I'm sure there'll be a girl in the mix at some point,” he said. Goldsmith reportedly further told the publication that if Kate Middleton does give birth to a baby girl then she would be as "equally as beautiful" as the Duchess.

Bets have been high on a girl for the Duchess of Cambridge’s second baby. According to The Telegraph, the name Alice is especially favoured among punters at Ladbrokes. Meanwhile, CNN royal commentator Victoria Arbiter told E Online that the royal couple is likely to give their second child a middle name coming from Kate Middleton’s side of the family.

If the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s second child turns out to be a girl, Arbiter said the first choice for a middle name would be Carole, taken after Kate Middleton’s mom. But if royal baby no. 2 is a boy, then it would reportedly be named after Kate’s father, Michael.
