Currently suffering a severe morning sickness (hyperemesis gravidarum), Kate Middleton's upcoming trips are not looking too good with the Duchess cancelling her appearance to Prince Harry's Invictus Games. After announcing the highly anticipated news about her second pregnancy, Kate is under treatment at Kensington Palace with the Queen's gynaecologist, Alan Farthing.

The pregnancy announcement came on Sept. 8, Monday, when she was scheduled to make an appearance at Oxford University with Prince William. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were supposed to open a Chinese Centre in the university dedicated for students and researchers for Chinese studies.

Just this Wednesday, Sept. 10, Kensington Palace announced that the brunette is not going to make it to Invictus Games, according to Daily Mail. The palace statement reads: "The Duchess of Cambridge will not attend the opening ceremony of the Invictus Games this evening or the athletics event tomorrow. The Duchess's attendance on the forthcoming visit to Malta will be kept under review and a decision taken closer to the time."

Prince William and Kate are big supporters of Prince Harry's Invictus Games, but due to her pregnancy condition she will not be joining the Royal Family at the Olympic Park in London. The Duchess also cancelled her appearance at the solemn Drumhead service at Lee valley Athletics Centre with her husband and Harry on Sept. 11. The memorial service is to give tribute for those who have died or been injured in conflict.

Kate's upcoming solo trip to Malta is also under review including her appearance to Prince Harry's 30th Birthday party whom she helped organize. "The last time I saw her, she was okay," revealed the 29-year-old royalty in an interview posted on NY Daily News. "Feeling pretty poorly, but I think that's to be expected. Luckily I'm not a woman so I don't have to go through that. It's a pretty horrible thing."

Prince George's mother is scheduled to represent Queen Elizabeth for the island nation's 50th celebration of its independence from the UK. Catherine is supposed to fly to Malta on Sept. 20 and will stay there for a two-day tour as a guest of honour.
