Prince William, Kate Middleton and their son Prince George won't be celebrating Christmas with the Queen and other royals this year. The rumours claim that the decision comes in the wake of an ongoing tiff between the Duchess of Cambridge and her mother-in-law Camilla Parker-Bowles.

One of the royal insiders has revealed that Kate Middleton and Prince William will be "skipping most of the festivities" during the time of the Christmas, according to The Hollywood Gossip. The couple will reportedly join the family only for traditional Christmas breakfast at Queen Elizabeth's Sandringham residence.

The reason why the Duchess of Cambridge, who is now pregnant with her second child, is refusing to celebrate the Christmas with the royal family is Camilla Parker-Bowles. According to the abovementioned publication, the two royal ladies have been feuding for months now. The source reveals that things have "gotten so bad lately that the Duchess can't stand to be in the same room as Prince Charles' wife." This is why Kate Middleton is considering spending holidays at her newly renovated Anmer Hall, Norfolk residence.

Furthermore, Kate Middleton is said to be avoiding Camilla Parker-Bowles because of her "toadying" behaviour with Queen Elizabeth. The report notes that Duchess of Cornwall has been trying to flatter and impress the Queen so that she passes the throne to her husband Prince Charles.

However, contrary reports claim that Kate Middleton and Prince William will be spending their day in private because of the Duchess' pregnancy sickness. Couple's "low-key" Christmas celebration plans were reported by Grazia magazine (via Independent). The report notes that for the first time Duke and the Duchess of Cambridge will be celebrating the day in an unconventional way.

Furthermore, it is said that the couple will be a part of all the traditional celebrations on Christmas at Sandringham including the lunch and the mass. They will then return to the palace for Boxing Day rituals and the "annual shoot" next day.

Another report states that Prince William and Kate Middleton will be "hosting" Queen Elizabeth for Christmas. Hello magazine is reporting that the royal couple will be welcoming the Queen for "housewarming visit" to their new home that was gifted to them as a wedding gift. Queen Elizabeth is "looking forward to seeing" the refurbished palace and the nursery designed by the Duchess, according to Vanity Fair's Royal Watch. As per the report, the Duchess and the Duke of Cambridge will be joining the family for Christmas Eve supper, church service and turkey lunch at Sandringham Palace. As for the rest of the holidays, they are "free to spend" with the Middletons.
