The Duchess of Cambridge has another responsibility on her belt, and now it's Lady Diana's Army Regimen where she will be named "Colonel-In-Chief".

The Duchess, who was last seen on the UK premiere of Steven Spielberg's "War Horse," will take Lady Diana's place in the army regimen as "Colonel-In-Chief."

The Army Regimen, called 'The Tigers,' has already earned 57 Victoria Crosses, the highest form of British Military decoration in the face of the enemy. The then Princess of Wales (Diana) left the position when she got divorced from Prince Charles back in 1996.

"Kate does not want to be seen as a copycat of Diana but she likes to pay tribute. She would take the role very seriously indeed" says a royal aide in a report.

"A final decision will be made in a few weeks but the plan to head up Diana's regiment is advanced" added the source in the same post.

News of The Duchess being the Colonel-In-Chief broke out when it was announced that the Royal Couple, together with Prince Harry, will support war veterans by donating a huge sum as Royal backing to the 'Forces In Mind Trust.'
