Kanye West's latest Adidas collection, which he showcased at the New York Fashion Week, was influenced by 2011 London riots. In his latest interview with a fashion website, the “Yeezus” rapper described himself as “the Robin Hood of fashion” industry because he believes his clothes can inspire people to have better lives. The rapper also talked about how he wants to be the “Steve Jobs of Gap” clothing.

“I was living in London at that time and saw the way that the kids wanted the clothes and I didn’t have the skill set to do the more inexpensive clothes,” Kanye is quoted as saying to Style. The rapper was present in London when the 2011 riots happened. Apart from getting influenced by the violence in the city, Kanye also takes his inspiration from various designers such as Raf Simons, Helmut and Margiela.

For his Adidas collection, Kanye got a standing ovation from various celebrities who were present at the launch of his range at the New York Fashion Week. Beyonce, Jay Z, Vogue editor Anna Wintour, Rihanna, Sean Diddy and Justin Bieber were present at the launch event of Kanye's Adidas collection. The rapper told the website that 9000 sneakers from his recent collection got sold off within ten minutes of its launch.

Kanye's clothing collection is expected to hit the stores anytime now but he 37-year-old did not reveal its pricing. However, the husband to reality star Kim Kardashian said that his main aim is to eventually make the collection “super-inexpensive.” Kanye also talked about how he wants to work for clothing giant Gap. He said it is his dream to be the “creative director” of Gap one day. Kanye also added that he would want to be the “Steve Jobs of Gap.”

Kanye's future plans include owning a “brick and mortar” store of his designs. He wants his clothes to be wearable because being a dad to daughter North West, he understands that it is not always possible for him to look into a mirror and get dressed. He also told the interviewer that he has a great respect for designer Ralph Lauren and considers him “God.”
