Justin Bieber is no stranger to getting a tattoo. Neither is he unaware of how it feels to get "high." However, this is the first time, he did both together. He got a tattoo high up in the air, as high as 40,000 feet.

According to TMZ, Bieber got a fresh new tattoo on his body while he was on his way to Canada in a flight. It happened just five days after he had been arrested for Driving Under Influence at the Miami beach. New York City tattoo designer Bang Bang reportedly did the new tattoo on Bieber's naked skin. It was a cross on Bieber's chest. Bang Bang is a celebrity tattoo artist who has a long list of celebrities whom he used his little needle on. The list includes big names like Katy Perry, Rihanna and Selena Gomez, among several others.

Bang Bang told TMZ that the tattoo had been done 40,000 feet above the sea level. According to him, it might have set a world record for getting a tattoo at such a height. He said that the plane faced "terrible turbulence" as it was the "most difficult tattoo" he had ever pulled off "for sure". TMZ further reported that it had confirmed it from a Federal Aviation Administration representative that getting a tattoo in a plane would not be considered as illegal. Bieber must have been relieved to hear that as he has become quite a cop-magnet in recent times.

Bang Bang said that he received a text message from Bieber after the tattoo had been successfully done. The message read: "Forgiveness is powerful, forgive as Jesus died on the cross to forgive our sins."

It is yet to be confirmed if Bieber wanted to convey a specific message to the officers and legal personnel working on his criminal cases. It is not known if he has actually entered a stage where he would ask for forgiveness for whatever illegal, illicit or immoral things he may have done so far in his life. We do not even know if Bieber really "crossed his heart."
