'Jurassic World': New Video Features Steven Spielberg And Behind-The-Scenes Footage Of The Movie

A new featurette of “Jurassic World” shows the cast members and director Colin Trevorrow talk about how the upcoming movie builds on the highly successful 1993 movie. Executive producer Steven Spielberg also gave his insights about the movie in the video.

“Jurassic World” features a fully functional dinosaur theme park with over 20,000 visitors every day. The theme park was the dream of the character John Hammond in the 1993 movie. This featurette video shows the cast recounting their experience when they first saw the 1993 movie.

The video begins with footage from “Jurassic Park” that shows the characters in the movie entering the park for the very first time. Chris Pratt, who plays the role of the dinosaur trainer Owen in “Jurassic World,” talked about his experience when he first saw the original movie. “When I saw the first Jurassic Park, I just walked away having my mind blown. It was like cinema was reinvented right in front of me,” Chris Pratt said.

Cast member Ty Simpkins remembers wanting to be in the movie when he first saw the original movie. “It made us want to become filmmakers, become story tellers, become actors,” Bryce Dallas Howard said.

The director of “Jurassic World,” Colin Trevorrow, said that he had a “very specific” memory of watching the original movie. The movie apparently was released on the last day of Colin’s school. He remembered being “transported” to where the movie takes the audience.

Steven Spielberg, who is the director of the original movie, said that watching “Jurassic World” was like watching “Jurassic Park” come true. The theme park in the 1993 movie was not fully functional and the characters in the movie were only being given the guided tour before the park opened to the general public.

Fans of the franchise get to see new footage from the upcoming movie in the video. One of the scenes shown in the video is that of the young characters Zach and Gray seeing a holographic dinosaur in the centre of a room full of park visitors.

The main dinosaur in “Jurassic World” is the hybrid known as the Indominus Rex. Viewers get to see a few scenes of the dinosaur escaping its paddock and terrorising the visitors of the park in the video. Steven Spielberg teased that there are a lot of “surprises” for the fans in the upcoming movie and said that he always had a lot of confidence in what Colin Trevorrow could achieve in the movie.
