The blockbuster actor and music's rebel child has teamed up for a revamp of a classic track to be featured in Manson's latest album, 'Born Villain.'

Depp, who's famous for high-grossing films such as 'Edward Scissorhands' and 'Pirates of the Carribean,' has worked with rock singer, Marilyn Manson for a cover version of Carly Simon's 'You're So Vain.'

When asked about the strange-yet-fitting collaboration, Manson claimed that choosing the song to work with felt 'ironic for each other.'

Though Depp is known to for his singing chops as he collaborated with Keith Richards and Alice Cooper in several surprise, small-town performances, Manson claims that the actor did not lend his pipes for this collaboration.

"He played drums and lead guitar, and I played guitar and sang. It's a bonus track on my record and the video will probably be us looking at each other like a mirror." says Manson in a report by NZ Herald.

Manson added that it was not only the actor who worked with him, but also Depp's son as well.

"Johnny's son Jack - whose birthday I'm gonna be performing at - was in the room and he actually played on the song too. It's pretty cool," quips the 'Beautiful People' singer in the same report.

Manson, the unorthodox, androgynous rock singer known for his controversial tracks and Hollywood tie-ups, first became a staple name in the music industry with his album, 'Portrait of the American Family,' released in 1994.

Depp is appearing in Tim Burton's latest film, Dark Shadows and as 'Tonto' in the latest remake of 'The Lone Ranger.'
