“John Wick 2” is on its way but details regarding the sequel are scarce. Fans were however relieved when Emmy-nominated “Deadwood” star Ian McShane, who recently played a cameo in “Game of Thrones” Season 6, episode 7, “The Broken Man,” revealed some interesting details about the upcoming “John Wick” sequel. McShane said he is only one left from the original movie and that the movie has same kind of a premise.

The actor revealed that the sequel will start soon after the first one ended. There won’t be any time gap between the two. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, McShane praised his co-star Keanu Reeves saying he “is a great guy.” He was also all praised for the movie’s chief villain Riccardo Scamarcio, the “terrific Italian kid.”

McShane said that the three has a lot of stuff together and director Chad Stahelski has been extremely smart. Moreover, “John Wick 2” will have action sequences that will look more Hong Kong than Hollywood and McShane loves that. He believes it would be a great sight. Stahelski’s been Keanu’s stuntman for about 20 years and has studied muay-thai, a combat sport from Thailand.

The director made sure that he had all the stuntmen available to shoot the action sequences. The story will be based to a certain degree on the vengeance premise.

“Keanu gets a new dog. But yes, it’s about what comes on him after that. It’s all about the assassin’s code, if you like. He’s killed a Russian gangster and now there’s a contract out on him, so it’s a continuation. I loved the first one. This could be even better than the first,” McShane said.

McShane played the character of Winston in the 2014 action-thriller movie “John Wick.” He played the owner of the Continental Hotel, a boutique hotel providing services to assassins.

“John Wick 2” is all set to hit the big screens on Feb. 10, 2017.
