Jennifer Lopez vs. Julianne Hough: Fashion Face-Off
Julianne Hough may not have known what she was doing when she put on a tuxedo dress from Rachel Zoe's fall 2011 collection, but hawk-eyed fashion insiders certainly knew what was up -- a fashion face-off.
Four months ago, style royalty Jennifer Lopez strutted her stuff in the same dress of a different colour. In real time, that might be somewhat acceptable, but this is Hollywood and pictures live on forever, especially if the image captured is that of the hot "American Idol" judge. And so the question remains, who wore it better?
Hough, the professional ballroom dancer, wore the dress in lack for her appearance in a screening of "Footloose," her premiere film. The 23-year-old wore the dress with black pumps and matching black clutch. Lopez, who certainly needs no introduction, looked white hot when she wore the dress June of this year.
The 42-year-old mother of twins wore her dress with matching white pumps, a snakeskin clutch, and true to diva form, sunglasses and the requisite amount of bling. Both looked absolutely smashing, both wore the heck out of their respective dresses. It would seem that in this fashion face off, it's the accessories that will be the clincher.
The dress speaks for itself, in a classic cut and colour; the dress could be a knock out on everyone and anyone. However, this is still Lopez's town and the truth is, not even a young, pretty upstart like Hough can knock Jenny from the block.
The dress fit like a glove on Lopez and the white just made her tan all the more resplendent-in a word, the singer-actress-multi hyphenate positively glowed. With her trademark bling and immaculate attention to detail, Lopez just brings a little something extra to the table; just a little kick that goes a long way.
