The CW has announced a three-week break for its hit comedy series, "Jane The Virgin.” The last episode (Chapter Twenty-Nine) aired last Monday, Nov. 23. The series won’t be coming back on air until Dec. 14, and will then air only for the mid-Season finale. In other words, after returning for only one new episode, fans would have to ride out the Christmas holidays without their favourite Latina and her hilarious extended family. The CW released a trailer for Chapter Thirty, or episode 8, of the current Season. The video doesn’t reveal much, except to announce the excruciating wait in between episodes. Luckily, KSite TV has shared the synopsis for the upcoming episode. [scroll down for video]

After enjoying his first Thanksgiving dinner with the Villanueva family and unexpected guest, Petra (Yael Grobglas), baby Mateo will also be getting ready for his first Christmas. Unfortunately, celebrating Christmas won’t be so easy to navigate if your parents are at odds with each other.

Because they are not in a relationship and aren’t living together, Jane (Gina Rodriguez) and Rafael (Justin Baldoni) have found a way to amicably share custody of Mateo. Unfortunately, the two of them had a massive fall out in the last episode. Jane found out that Rafael set up her ex-fiance Michael (Brett Dier), so that Jane wouldn’t end up with him. Jane found out about the setup and is understandably furious at Rafael.

Meanwhile, Jane will be facing even more grad school problems. After dealing with a demanding professor and a scheming classmate, she will discover that the scholarship she won isn’t what she expected. She will now need to find another way to pay for her education, if she wants to continue.

Elsewhere, Michael is still on the hunt for Sin Rostro. Recent developments have linked her with another notorious crime lord, known only as “Mutter.” After Jane’s classmate Wesley exposed the questionable circumstances of the death of Luisa’s (Yara Martinez) mother, Michael suspects that she could be Mutter.

While all this is going on, Jane is nowhere near close to choosing her groom. It is known that she will be getting married at the end of the Season, but neither prospect seems to be promising.
